Honey Bourbon Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. meatballs, frozen, pre-cooked
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup bourbon or whiskey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Assembly instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a large freezer bag. Mix around gently to combine. Remove excess air, seal and freeze.

Cooking instructions:

  1. Slow Cooker: Thaw or partially thaw. Slow cooker on high for 1 hour, then stir and turn down to low for 1 1/2 more hours. Serve over rice.
  2. Skillet: Thaw. Heat on stovetop over medium heat until bubbling. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
  3. Instant Pot: Cook on Manual High Pressure for 5 minutes with a quick release.
