Sausage Breakfast Muffins Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Bisquick pancake mix
- 1 ½ cup water
- 1 lb. ground breakfast sausage browned and cooled
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup maple syrup
Assembly Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix Bisquick and water.
- Fold in ground breakfast sausage, cheddar cheese, and maple syrup.
- Fill cups of a greased muffin tin to ¾ full.
- Bake at 400° for 14-16 minutes, and the muffins are browned on top.
- Let cool, add to a large freezer bag, remove the excess air, seal, and freeze.

Serving Instructions:
- Reheat from frozen in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, or in a preheated air fryer for 5 minutes at 350°.

Additional Tips for This Recipe
To make this recipe vegetarian, simply switch out the sausage for a plant-based version of sausage or crumbles. Cook the plant-based version according to the directions and add it to the Bisquick and water mixture.
What’s also great with this recipe is that you can just take out what you need to eat that morning and leave the rest frozen. You could even double the recipe depending on your family size.
What to Serve This With Recipe
These muffins are great on their own for a quick breakfast. Or you can pair them with Scrambled Egg Bites, some sliced apples or strawberries, a fruit smoothie, or a serving of yogurt and granola or mixed nuts for added crunch.
