Sweet and Spicy Meatball Ideas:

A freezer stacked with sweet and spicy meatballs means whether you have a busy family evening or an upcoming potluck, there’s no stress. Just toss these in your trusty slow cooker a few hours early and serve!

If you prefer other hot sauces, the Franks can be substituted with Texas Pete, Louisiana Hot Sauce, or a combination of sriracha and ketchup to maintain the tang, spice, and consistency. To avoid gluten in this recipe, swap the soy sauce for coconut aminos.

Vegetarian Alternatives:

Looking for a vegetarian alternative without missing out on the sweet and spicy taste? Swap the pre-cooked frozen meatballs for your favourite plant-based alternative, and voila!

Serving Suggestions:

One of the best things to bring to any party, these sweet and spicy meatballs make the perfect appetizer. Who doesn’t love a flavourful meatball paired with a sports game or lawn games? Top with scallions and pair with a container of toothpicks, and you’ll be sure to leave with a clean plate.

This recipe also makes for a family-pleasing, easy weeknight dinner. Simply serve over brown or white rice with some steamed vegetables or a garden salad.
