Ways to Adapt this Recipe
If you don’t want to have the spicy kick from the jalapeno, just leave it out of this recipe. Or you could only use half a jalapeno, taking the seeds out. Of course, if you love spice, feel free to add more.
We use store-bought BBQ sauce, but you could make your own and use that in this recipe.

How to Serve this Recipe
We like serving this as an appetizer for a party or gathering. You can leave them right inside the crock pot with a spoon for easy clean up and serving.
For a fancier option, place the meatballs on a platter and put a toothpick in each one so guests can easily grab one and eat on the go.
You can also use this recipe as a quick summer dinner. Pair it with egg noodles, white rice, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, or grilled veggies to make a complete meal.
Turn it into a sandwich by using slider rolls. Pair them with baked beans or coleslaw to make it a complete summer meal.
