  • 2 packages of refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, minced
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • cooking spray

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Roll out the crescent dough and cut each pack into 24 squares.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°.
  3. Spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  4. Make little cups in a mini muffin tray with dough.
  5. In a large skillet, cook the onion and ground beef until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  6. Add garlic, BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, and soy sauce to the meat mixture. Stir.
  7. Fill each dough cup with the meat mixture.
  8. Add shredded cheese to the top of each.
  9. Bake for 8-12 minutes until the edges of the dough are golden and the cheese is melted.
  10. Allow to cool.
  11. Add to large resealable freezer bags, get out the excess air, seal, and freeze.

Serving Instructions:

  • Take out as many as you need, being sure to reseal the bag after removing excess air.
  • Eat cold or reheat in an Air Fryer or toaster oven.

Storing Sloppy Joe Bites

One of the best things about this recipe is the flexibility. Once frozen, you can pull out just the number of bites you need and leave the rest tucked away for later. It’s so easy to double the recipe and keep a bigger stash on hand for busy days or packing in school lunches.

If you’re using the whole batch for a party or gathering, simply store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. They’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days, ready to reheat and enjoy.
