Make-Ahead Quiche

Freezer meals don’t have to be just for dinner or lunch. This make-ahead quiche will make breakfast time so much easier, especially on those busy school mornings.

Make-Ahead Quiche Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup prosciutto, sliced or chopped
  • 1 cup spinach, fresh chopped
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • salt
  • 1 deep-dish frozen pie crust

Assembly instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk the eggs and add in cream, prosciutto, spinach, cheese, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Pour into the frozen pie shell.

Cooking instructions

  1. Place the pie plate on the cookie sheet and bake in a 350° oven for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  2. Let cool.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and then tin foil.
  4. Freeze.

Reheating instructions

  1. Thaw.
  2. Remove plastic wrap and replace the tin foil.
  3. Reheat in 300° oven for 30 minutes.

Notes for This Recipe

Most frozen pie shells come in a pack of two. Consider doubling this recipe to make two quiches.

If making your pie crust from scratch, keep in mind that many pie plates are larger than store-bought frozen pies. You may need to double this just to fill the whole pie shell!
